Reopening Bhutto case will set history washed of black spot: Awan

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the reference for reopening of the judicial proceeding in the murder case against the former Prime Minister, Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto.

Federal Law Minister, Babar Awan has said, “This reference is being filed for washing away the black spot from the pages of history.

Prior to sending the Bhutto case reopening reference to the Supreme Court, briefing the media Babar Awan told that the reference has been signed by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister.

The law minister said that the world community had termed Bhutto’s hanging unjustified and no other court of the country has acknowledged the Bhutto’s execution verdict.

Later, Babar Awan handed over the reference documents to the federal law secretary for filing it in the Supreme Court.
